Patt Benson met and befriended her show business idol, Milton Berle, the biggest star of TV in it's early days. The story of the improbable, but special friendship between Berle and Benson. A bond that spanned four decades. Encouraged by Berle, Benson pursued a life in comedy. "Growing up with Uncle Miltie" is a fascinating show business memoir with a candid behind-the-scene look at the making of a successful professional comedian.
Actor/Comedian, Patt Benson was born and raised in New York City. She studied acting with Lee Strasberg and Milton Katselas. She met her comedy partner, Burt Heyman, in acting class and formed the successful comedy team of "Patt and Burt." They played in clubs from Boston to Miami after appearing on "The Merv Griffin Show." The team then joined the famed Second City improv group in Chicago. Patt arrived in LA in 1974 and started acting in commercials, sitcoms and doing stand up at comedy clubs culminating as a regular on the NBC TV series "Joe & Valerie." TV credits include "Hill Street Blues," "Alice," "The Golden Girls," "The Tom Snyder Show," and many others. Currently, she is acting and teaching acting at the SAG Conservatory. She has been writing and developing her solo show, "Growing Up with Uncle Miltie" for the past three years.

**There is not a two item minimum in the Lab. Food/beverages are not permitted in the lab space, but may be enjoyed at our front bar/dining room prior to or following the show.
